Hey Life Warriors!

A new medication created to help diabetic patients has generated a small revolution; Ozempic®, also known as “ The Hollywood Drug ,” promises something truly magical: effortless weight loss. However, when something seems too good to be true, it’s usually just that: too good to be true. Ozempic® does fulfill its promise (although that is not what it was designed for) but it has its drawbacks: it is expensive (€130 per dose) and its weight loss has small print. At Life Warrior we would like to offer you something more effective than Ozempic, free and without side effects. Would you be willing to give it a go?

How does Ozempic® work?

As we see on the website of this medicine , Ozempic®, as would be expected from a medicine that helps diabetics, works by lowering the level of blood sugar (glycemia) in three ways:

Helps the pancreas release more insulin when blood sugar is high

Helps prevent the liver from synthesizing and releasing too much sugar

Delays the release of food from the stomach

As a “collateral result” of its pathways of action, this medication reduces our appetite. We eat less, and, of course, we lose weight (up to 15% of body weight).

So far, everything is correct. What is the problem, then?

The problem is that Ozempic® is a medication with a very specific purpose, which must always be prescribed and supervised by a doctor . However, the tempting promise of effortless weight loss has caused many overweight people to obtain this medication through various means and self-administer it without any supervision. Ozempic® can help you lose weight, without a doubt, but (as we can also read on the drug’s website), it must be accompanied by a healthy diet and physical exercise . What happens if we just take the medication without making any other changes to our habits? Some things will happen that we don’t expect and we won’t like. On the one hand, we will lose weight due to less food intake, but if our diet was not good (which is very likely if we were overweight) and we do not exercise, most of this loss will be muscle mass, and not fat . On the other hand, if all our weight loss depends on taking this medication, we will either be tied to it for life (which is not advisable for our health and our pocket) or we will recover what we lost when we stop taking it, as we see in these testimonies .

What if we told you that there is something more effective than Ozempic, cheaper and without side effects?

Well: it exists. We all have it and can develop it, and it will help us lose weight in a healthy and permanent way. It is called the Anterior Medial Cingulate Cortex, and it is a part of our brain that regulates our tenacity and perseverance.

mid anterior cingulate cortex

As we said before, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true. Where’s the trick here? The trick is that developing our mid-anterior cingulate cortex requires effort and sacrifice. However, the benefits of doing so (in our opinion) far outweigh the costs.

How can we develop our Anterior Medial Cingulate Cortex?

If you have been following us for a long time, perhaps you will remember this article in which we talked about the benefits of “dopamine fasting”, that is, depriving ourselves of some of those things that give us greater instant gratification (and which are usually behaviors rather addictive). Well, this study shows that this part of our brain reacts to these dopamine fasts, increasing its size, and that this size correlates with greater perseverance and tenacity. That is to say, the more we deprive ourselves of these behaviors, the bigger our aMCC will grow; the more it grows, the more constant and tenacious we will become. The more tenacious and constant we are, the less it will cost us to acquire and maintain the habits that lead us to achieve the goals we set for ourselves.
